Editorial Assessments
An editorial assessment consists of one read of the entire manuscript, followed by a written analysis of strengths and weaknesses, suggestions regarding the book outline and overall narrative arc, and feedback on pacing, writing style, and genre. Whether you’ve just finished your first draft or are now on your fifth revision, this is the perfect choice if you are looking for an affordable, professional critique of your book.
Ghostwriting and Book Proposals
Are you an expert in your field, but don’t have enough time to sit down and write a book? Or perhaps you want to write a memoir but don’t know where to start? Working with a ghostwriter may be for you. There is nothing that excites me more than working with prospective authors to figure out the best way to bring their knowledge or story to a larger audience. A book proposal is often the first step in collaboration, as this is where we sketch out the chapter outline, the target audience, and your marketing plan.
Developmental Editing
If you’ve been spinning your wheels for days on end or have lost interest in finishing your draft, a developmental edit can help get you back on track. In addition to an editorial assessment, developmental editing includes more detailed feedback within the manuscript itself, and brainstorming sessions to help you figure out how to reconnect with your original inspiration and reorganize your unifying themes or narrative arc.
Copy Editing, Line Editing, and Proofreading
Once you’ve completed several revisions of your draft and received some critical feedback, you may be itching to start the submission process. This is the time to have an editor read through the entire manuscript s-l-o-w-l-y and help polish your prose, catch inconsistencies, and fix any grammatical or typographical errors.

I’ve collaborated with writers who come from all walks of life, including: bartenders, photographers, travel writers, poets, gardeners, doctors, scientists, bankers, lawyers, designers from the Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent, high school teachers, and academics from Harvard and Stanford to the City University of Hong Kong and Cambridge.
